Nice time and vendors with really great stuff. Off site parking and easy transport offered. Enjoyed our visit and plan to go back.
my family and me have been going to this for years now, we absolutely love it. the fact its right on the lake is great. There is so much to look at, food, drinks, and some entertainment. my problem was this year there was way to many people. it made it hard to enjoy thebwhole experience when you're pushing through a crowd of people
Way too crowded, (to the point where safety is a real issue). I'm not even really all that adverse to crowded places, but we literally could not move for 15 or so minutes near the back of the boardwalk. Not sure what the answer is to deal with the crowd, but if something ever happened like a fire, it would have been incredibly bad as hundreds of people were basically trapped on the boardwalk.
Beautiful market with many terrific stalls. However, it was jammed pack full of people which made it challenging to move. Also the food & drinks were cash only & all the ATMs were broken or empty. Think it has become more popular than the space can handle.
Maybe if you get there at a better time things are more mitigated, but we aren't going to risk it next year. :(
Wow! This 2017 Market was so much fun. Crisp clear Saturday weather really made this day trip. Loads of vendors with Christmas themes, crafty items, hats, chainsaw wood sculptures. Plenty of food options from food trucks, bratwurst, German beers, gluhwein, cider, hot chocolate, mini donuts, German breads and pastries. Children's fun included a petting zoo, rocket crafts, pony ride and local playground at the end of the boardwalk.
