I have a favorite tee shirt that says "New Jersey - You wouldn't last a day here." Truer words were never spoken.
Steve voted yes for the 23 gas tax increase, I didn't expect this from Steve, come election time he lost mine and my families vote, even if it means voting for a Democrat, at least with a Democrat you know what you're getting, you know how they are voting, come election time I promise you I will do everything in my power to let everybody in Sparta know how you voted
Peter J. and Patricia Hefferan
It seems that passing the gas tax has made little impact on anyone-just a slight sick feeling when seeing them posted. Our electorate goes on with their daily business. NJ ranks as the 4th. state that most people are leaving. Our country seems to be compressing into the Mid-west.
Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats sense the will of the people. Our President does and for that he has gained the enmity of his own party. The Republican Party is as worthless as the Democratic Party. Take your pick.
We needed the gas tax to fund the bankrupt transportation agency responsible for fixing our roads and bridges. The alternative was a property tax increase to fund it. The gas tax is paid by everyone driving through NJ, not just the homeowners. Steve Oroho is doing a great job for NJ.
I am the owner of a local business here in Sussex County. We currently employ 16 people and 6 adults with disabilities. We were having some issues with a DEP permit that would have the potential to close us down. We reached out to Senator Oroho for help. He was very responsive, and helpful. We appreciate the fact that he personally took the time to come to our facility, meet with us, understand the problem, and work with us to get a resolution. We are glad he is from our community and that he supports business in our community.
Despite dire predictions Sen. Oroho is still here. Knowing him personally helped sway us. He is a decent politician. Living in Sussex County provides us with a buffer from the exigencies of living in this vile state Sen. Oroho has always been open and available to his constituents. We believe he voted his conscience. Done and done.
Tell Steve Oroho your state representative to put aside partisan politics and pass this year a bipartisan promise to repay the monies taken from the Transportation Trust Fund, and stop trying to convince people that a two hundred million contribution to local road projects or .20 per resident is really going to affect their property tax bill And stop trying to imply that the petroleum industry doesn't pay their fair share so nj residents need to pay s huge gastax put New Jersey on the Road to Repair. Steve Oroho is a special kind of stupid, or a scum bag scam artist
